On 1st May 2018 the Band of Bikers ride out of Bangkok on the first day of their journey to Tbilisi in Georgia, 8 weeks away, to raise consciousness about the work of ActionAid and funds for the charity. Our route takes us through 12 countries as diverse as Bhutan and Turkmenistan. Sometimes we forget that we, human beings, live together on one planet. It is one world. We can reach out on this great adventure across Asia, from Bangkok to Tbilisi, & connect with the people we meet while we travel through their many countries, cultures and religions. We can demonstrate the fellowship and bond that all humans have with one another, regardless of the recent political and religious divisions that have threatened to divide us. This idea is embodied by ActionAid, the charity we are supporting. By carrying the banner of ActionAid we can raise consciousness for the charity's important work and raise money to help fund it. The Bangkok2Tbilisi Motorcycle Rally is self-funding; all money raised goes to the charity. ActionAid works in 45 countries on myriad projects, from forgotten children, women & children’s rights to education and FGM.
