Story
Scott Doswell, Michael Smith and Dan Turner are aiming to cycle approximately 900 miles from Roscoff (Northern France) to Santander (Northen Spain) to raise money for Devon Air Ambulance Trust. We will be setting out on our trip on the last day of July with the aim of finishing in roughly 2 weeks. A blog will be set up giving details of the journey through France and Spain (hopefully with some nice photos).
Our decision to undertake this challenge was made after Michael's father Phil suffered serious life-threatening injuries following a freak accident during a countryside walk in Devon. The emergency air lift support from the Devon Air Ambulance and their quick response time was the decisive factor in Phil's survival which doctors described as ''a miracle''. If it wasn't for the services provided by Devon Air Ambulance, Phil would not be with us today.
We want to give something back to the trust and ensure that this service is available to those in a similar need in the future....
Your donations are invaluable to the air ambulance as the trust is solely reliant upon charitable donations in order to provide this crucial service. More information about the exceptional work the service provides can be found on their website: http://www.daat.org/
