Rosary Bike Ride

Rosary Bike Ride · 12 March 2018
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page, I hope you enjoy reading about the Rosary Bike Ride Challenge.
If you would like me to email or post you copies of the flyer/further information, I will be happy to help - please contact me on 07502 274450 or at leswhittaker252@outlook.com.
My name is Les Whittaker, I am 62 years old, married with 3 children, and 2 grandchildren. I worship at East Grinstead parish, , West Sussex, where there is a memorial to unborn children lost before birth. I am undertaking a sponsored ride from the memorial to Walsingham, and back, at the beginning of June 2018. This will be a journey of some 350-400 miles.
All money raised will go to Good Counsel Network (GCN) to help with the provision of ongoing practical support to mothers and babies, and prayer vigils at abortion clinics. I am meeting the cost of the ride myself so the benefit to GCN is maximised.
I will pray 50 rosaries on the way to Walsingham, 50 whilst there, and 50 on the return journey, with the intention of mourning the 9 million lives lost at the 50th anniversary of the abortion Act. I will pray that, through Our Lady's intercession, the culture in this country will change to one of choosing life, not death. I will also carry 50 rosaries on my bike throughout the journey.
To support the ride, please sponsor me. Please also pray the rosary every day, as a powerful way of supporting me and the work of Good Counsel Network.
"We are called to cherish life with tenderness and warmth and expand our hearts so that they are always concerned for the good of others, especially the tiniest and most vulnerable". Bishop John Sherrington - from homily at Mass commemorating 50th anniversary of Abortion Act at Westminster Cathedral on 27 October 2017
