Royal Parks Half Marathon 2021 · 10 October 2021 ·
UPDATE:
A huge thanks to everyone who so generously sponsored me for the Royal Parks Half Marathon!
I completed the race on Sunday 11 April in just under 2hr 30mins, which is not a brilliant time for me, but I'm frankly delighted to have completed it at all after such a difficult year.
It was a perfect day for running and the London parks looked magnificent in the spring sunshine. I covered Hampstead Heath, Primrose Hill, Regent's Park, Hyde Park, Green Park and St James's Park, finishing on Westminster Bridge!
Thank you all so much for your support!

After my near-death experience in Egypt a year ago, I made it my mission to run another competitive race as soon as I was sufficiently recovered and fit enough.
Since then, we have been living through a pandemic that has caused untold suffering for millions. Aside from the physical health implications, the anxiety, isolation and economic uncertainty of continued lockdowns has had a devastating impact on people’s mental health.
Mind do amazing work to support those struggling with mental health issues, so I am running to raise funds to help them continue to provide this vital support.
Following my daughter’s accident, I had to take some weeks off training, but I’m feeling confident that I will still be able to get the miles in!
The event is now taking place remotely, due to ongoing social-distancing restrictions, but participants will track their run on an app and post the results.
Any donation you can make, however small, would be hugely gratefully received. Thank you so much!
