Story
I am going to take on challenges to raise money for the DEC East Africa appeal. What will you challenge me to do and how much are you willing to pay? It couId be a physical challenge or a mental challenge, or a learning challenge.... I reserve the right to barter donation amount to undertake the challenge! Please bear in mind I would like to raise money as quick as possible so am unlikely to be able to train for and run a marathon...but really- you chose- be imaginative!!
11 July- Alison Vant has challenged me to write a list of possible challenges for other people to choose from! Good idea Ali.
12 July- So a first few possibles for the list! I am sure you could all think of something better!
- cycle up tout hill (its incredibly steep!)
- walk backwards up Gold Hill
- make cakes for everyone in the office
- research a piece of information
- stay silent for one hour (unlikely)
- read a Shakespeare play (yes, this really would be a challenge!)
- Plan a dinner party menu
12 July- New challenges- from Wendy- eitehr see a Shakespeare play, or redesign her garden- she hasn't decided yet!!
And from Kari- write a list of my top ten albums! Kari doesn't realise how hard that will be for me! Will I be able to keep the Dooleys out of that list?
13 July- So, I am working on that list of my own top ten albums. But have also now been challenged to guess Quentin (my brother)'s top ten albums. He will sponsor me a fiver to do this, but if I get at least 7 right, he will tenfold the donation. So I really need to think hard about this one!!!
Also, today, I was chairing a meeting, and was challenged to keep it under an hour long. Received a fiver for finishing 2 minutes before the hour!! Thank- you to Meril Morgan.
14 July- oh dear oh dear...My challenge today from Theresa- "I challenge you to eat 5 fairy cakes whilst holding the 'bridge' yoga position. I'll donate £2.50 per cake eaten if you are only going into position for each individual cake, or £5 per cake for each eaten consecutively whilst staying in the full position"
YIKES- am limbering up in preparation......
17 July- am busy working on the two top ten lists, and have some new challenges- Nikki Dade has challenged me a fiver to sponsor her little boy River in his sponsored swim- so that's a nice easy one! And well worth it- good luck little River, and well done you.
Theresa- responsible for the yoga challenge, has also cahllenged me to watch Black Swan. This is a challenge as I am not very good at watching scary films!
