Story
Hello, and thank you for visiting our page!!
This summer Rory and Tom are cycling up the country to raise money for the Toy Appeal, and test our mettle! We’d be very grateful if you could spare a few pennies for our charity which does some great work in the North West helping make Christmas magical for as many children as possible.
We both got into cycling during lockdown and are by no means particularly good at it and on top of that we’re camping and carrying all of our stuff the whole way too, so this will be a pretty epic challenge for us! Either that or it’ll be the world’s longest pub bike crawl!
The Toy Appeal was started in 2013 by Chris & Dee Drake when they provided toy sacks to 500 children, to date they have provided 22,000 toy sacks to disadvantaged children in the UK and in 2021 they aim to support another 8,000 children. The Toy Appeal is run entirely by volunteers whose mission is to ensure all children have presents to open on Christmas morning, we want to ensure all children experience the magic of Christmas. Each child receive a red sack filled with 8 items suitable to their age. £25 will provide a toy sack for a child, schools, social workers, refuges and foodbank can request a toy sack for a child. Together lets Give a Child a Christmas.
Thanks for looking! R&T
