Story
I have many bizarre ideas but I think this is quite a good one. Being a keen cyclist, this was a no brainer, right? Basically, the story goes, when the Prudential RideLondon FreeCycle route opens at 9:00am for riding on 29th July, I'll be poised ready to ride as many laps of the 8 mile circuit as I can until the course closes at 16:00, for the British Stammering Association. My target is £700.00 as I'll be riding for 7 hours.
Stammering has impacted my life in both a positive and negative way, in more recent years, thankfully it has been positive! The BSA is the national charity, supporting the rights of all those who stammer. No one is alone. My discovery of the BSA and its subsequent community has impacted my life for the better. I want my positive experience of stammering to radiate out to as many other people who stammer across the UK. I want others to experience the same support I had from the British Stammering Association: it's members, staff, events and the wealth of information it's website holds.
This is the first fundraising event that I have organised and fulfilled on my own for BSA and I hope its the first of many, as a part of my quest to make sure that stammering is 'on the map', so to speak.
