Story
We are Sonal, Chai and Sumitra
None of us can do a triathlon on our own (yet!), but it’s for such an important cause that we’re teaming up for a relay on May 28th at Blenheim Palace.
Like most of you, we’ve been conscious of the rising cost of living - whether it’s at the supermarket checkout, the petrol pumps or the home energy bill, to mention the most obvious. We’re fortunate enough to be able to weather it and make choices on spending that don’t cause great hardship. For so many people, that’s not the case - the choices are all too stark.
That’s why we’re coming together to support Sufra NW London at a time when increasing numbers of people are facing poverty. This Brent based charity provides a lifeline for families living in extreme poverty including those who are vulnerable, socially isolated and homeless. Sufra provides guests with food and the support they urgently need to survive, empowers people with new skills, improves well-being and helps people to find work and become financially stable.
You don’t have to live in Brent to give, you just have to know that with your support Sufra will be able to help people that are facing impossible choices and unimaginable hardship.
Anything you can give will help. Sonal can swim but isn’t sure about a wetsuit and open water, Chai can cycle but her legs will hurt and Sumitra said she’d never run again after completing a half marathon… despite it all we’ve roped ourselves in and would be delighted for all the pounds and pennies you help us to raise. Thank you thank you!
With much appreciation
