In January 2016 I will volunteer for 12 weeks on a development
programme in Bangladesh. This is part of International Citizen Service (ICS), which brings young people together to fight poverty and make a difference where it is needed most.

I’ll be working alongside volunteers from Bangladesh, on a project that aims to improve the lives of the people living in the area. ICS works with communities that have specifically requested their help-Bangladesh is a disaster prone area so one of the project aims is to teach locals about disaster risk reduction. I will also be working with young people to teach them new skills to get them in to work and share information about key health issues.   

The programme is government funded however I need to raise £800 for Y care international who are one of the respected development charities that deliver ICS. This will allow them to continue to bring about positive change in the
