Story
On Saturday 10th June I am taking part in The Big Walk which is the longest and most challenging group charity walk in Wales, The Big Walk was launched in 2014 to help raise funds for Prostate Cymru, the leading prostate health charity in Wales. The annual event involves nine hours of walking and a distance of 30 miles from the Principality Stadium, Cardiff to Kenfig Hill RFC, Bridgend.
Through my involvement with the charity as both a Trustee and also the Secretary of its Pembrokeshire Friends I have been inspired by the efforts of so many who have raised substantial amounts of money for Prostate Cymru and I wanted to show my commitment by taking part in this challenge.
Prostate Cymru is mainly a voluntary group dedicated to fighting Prostate Cancer, Procuring equipment and raising awareness here in the Welsh Principality.
Prostate Cancer is the most common cancer in Welsh men. Annually 2500 men are diagnosed and 550 will die from the disease. It affects 1 in 8 men and 1 in 3 if there is a family history
Help us fight this deadly disease, help us make a difference.
Thank you for reading my page and I hope you will support me achieve my goal.
Diolch yn Fawr
