We are raising money on behalf of our beloved husband, father, son, brother and friend Rick.  Rick was a larger than life character, full of energy, creativity, care, loyalty, daring, wit, adventure, love, charm and enthusiasm for life and everyone he met.

Unfortunately Rick was taken from us prematurely on September 11th 2021 while out on his annual Leeds to Carlisle bike ride. Rick had a multitude of hobbies, but cycling was always a firm favourite.  

Every year Rick and his brother Mark (and various friends & family over the years) would cycle from Rick's house in Leeds to Mark's house near Carlisle.  Sadly last year the ride was cut short near Bolton Abbey when Rick suffered an unexpected heart attack that would lead to the untimely loss of our Rick.

In Rick's memory, a group of his family and friends will be completing the Leeds to Carlisle (130+ miles) bike ride on the 28th & 29th May 2022.

The family want to extend their gratitude to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance who worked tirelessly to save Rick's life, by asking for donations in sponsorship of this memorial ride.  The Yorkshire Air Ambulance rely solely on private funding so we would love to raise as much as we can for this amazing charity to allow them to continue in their efforts to help save other people's lives.
