Story
Due to Covid we missed our 25th anniversary celebrations so some of the team at Roland Dransfield has decided to mark its quarter century by climbing the largest freestanding mountain in the world – Kilimanjaro – for an inspirational charity – The Standing Tall Foundation – THIS OCTOBER!!
We’ll be doing the Tanzania challenge with Standing Tall founder and armed forces veteran, Andy Reid MBE, who set up the foundation after he lost three limbs in service in Afghanistan.
The charity’s work lies within mental health support, homelessness and drug and alcohol addition and has helped hundreds of people in need since it was launched in 2020.
Andy’s an incredible role model for many people and his story has inspired us through our work with the personal injury team at JMW – so we decided to take on the challenge very last minute!
The medical team that supported Andy through his life-changing injuries will be making the journey to the summit with him and we are honoured to be part of this trip.
We won’t pretend that we’re not slightly terrified but given Andy’s absolute focus on getting to the top of that mountain we are right behind him!
Please help us to support the amazing work Andy does through The Foundation by considering sponsoring us as we mark our 25 years of Roland Dransfield.
Given the short amount of time we've got before leaving, we've already started fundraising by making our own contribution, so we would love it if you could help us towards our target of £25,000.
Thank you so much!
