On the 29th June 2012 my mum died suddenly & unexpectedly from heart failure. Unlike many with heart failure Mum had never suffered a heart attack, she had an existing heart condition however after a bout of swine flu in 2008 damaged her heart tissue more than any of us realised 

Currently there is no cure for heart failure. It's a waiting game for all concerned. The British Heart Foundation now believe that with advances in regenerative medicine that there is hope, that repairing a damaged heart is a realistic goal. I would love to play a small part in helping them achieve it.

Following on from the immensely successful event in 2013 we will again be holding another Roktober event in 2014
