Story
This year I will be taking on the Sheffield 10k - on Sunday 25th September - in support of Genetic Disease Research at the University of Sheffield.
In the UK alone, 1 in 25 children is affected by a genetic disorder. Sheffield's research will change the lives of families who are desperately seeking a treatment for their loved-one. By making a gift today you will give hope to families living with the ongoing challenges of a genetic disease.
Any donations are appreciated to help reach my fundraising goal! My PB at the Sheffield 10K is 00:56:26 from 2019 and in the 2021 version I did 01:07:10 (alas, my lockdown eating habits did not help). With age, weight and lack of training playing against me, I have set myself the challenge to get a new PB and finish in under 00:56:00. I pledge to donate £10 myself for every extra 30 seconds I take to cross the finish line (up to 1h finish time!).
Thanks in advance for your support!
