Maeve Norfolk · 28 June 2017 to 5 July 2017 ·
I am running the 2018 London marathon, on Sunday April 22, for Maeve Norfolk, a little girl who is a close friend and lives in the same village as my family.
Maeve has cerebral palsy, and cannot walk unaided.
Maeve needs an operation called selective dorsal rhizotomy (SDR), this operation would give her the best chance of walking on her own. This procedure (SDR) is not available on the NHS and therefore combined with long term physio, the cost of helping Maeve is expensive.
I am running for Maeve, I am running to help her and her parents achieve the dream of her walking. I am running because I have the opportunity of giving Maeve some help.
I will be running as part of the ING Bank marathon "Winged Feet" team. It's a great chance to make a BIG difference to a little girl.
