When I first visited Shylowen Horse Sanctuary in Netherton, Liverpool, it was literally just half a dozen ramshackle sheds cobbled together to house a few ill treated ponies. That was six or seven years ago. SInce then, thanks to the dedication and devotion of Bernie Langfield and her volunteers, it has gone from strength to strength, and now cares for over 40 desperately in need animals.Money is always needed to continue this care, and as a proud Patron of Shylowen, I ask you to please help me to help them by sponsoring me in this year's London Marathon. My efforts in London are bound to be slow - Old Father Time and various injuries will see to that. Nevertheless, it will be more than worth it if it can help Bernie continue with her great work.
