Story
Roger was a great architect, but more than that, he was a respected community leader. He believed we all have a duty to make our community a better place and he took that responsibility seriously. His philanthropy and volunteerism earned him accolades like the Waterloo Region Record Barnraiser Award, the Waterloo Award, and Governor General’s Caring Canadian Award, among others.
When Roger Farwell passed away in the summer of 2021, his loss was felt throughout the community. In his honour, WalterFedy is launching the Roger Farwell Legacy campaign to benefit a project near and dear to his heart: The House of Friendship's Supportive Housing Community Hub vision. Although Roger formally retired from the practice years ago, he never stopped bringing people together to encourage community building. The Community Hub vision was the last relationship he facilitated and championed on behalf of WalterFedy at the time of his passing.
Whether you are a current or former colleague, client, or community member, we hope you will join us in the spirit of community, and donate to The Roger Farwell Legacy Fund. Your generosity enables House of Friendship to continue its transformative work, providing compassionate care and resources for folks experiencing homelessness.
