Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Don't you think I look fab ? I often think that cycle helmets look quite ridiculous but I think you'll agree that seeing me wearing mine takes ridiculous to a completely new level ................can someone please design something that people would want to wear ? I wouldn't be without one though, on or off road they simply make sense !
On Sunday 19th June I'll be joining thousands of others to ride in the annual London to Brighton bike ride organised by the British Heart Foundation.
Heart disease is Britain's biggest killer, and almost everyone's life will be affected by it at some time, directly or indirectly through a relative or a close friend.
The London to Brighton cycle ride is around 54 miles, it is not a race and I won't be making any big statements apart from, "I will complete it". I've always enjoyed cycling but never really clocked up any great distances, so unlike the really serious guys I do need to train and I've clocked up around 200 miles in the last couple of weeks with the intention of maintaining around 100 miles per week until the big day. I've lost a couple of pounds in weight and hope to shed around a stone (around 6.5 kilos for those too young to know any different).
PLEASE DONATE AS MUCH AS YOU CAN, BUT EVERY PENNY COUNTS AND NO DONATION IS TOO SMALL.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now, by the way although donating on line is simpler, if you would rather not then just let me know as I also have a donation form which can be filled in.
Thank you in advance for your kind donation.......Roger
