Story
This year I will be running my 24th marathon in 24 yrs, that's one a year without a break.
My chosen charity for 2010 is St Nicholas Hospice, Bury St Edmunds with all contributions going to 'John's Fund'. John lived in the same village as me and sadly died from a rare brain tumour in 2009. In his final days he and his family received invaluable support from the Hospice who made a total of 10 visits to his home. Afterwards his wife Trish pledged to raise £1000 for each visit, that's £10,000 in total. Through her efforts the fund already exceeds £6000. It is my privilege to help her towards the target so that others can benefit in future.
We aim to raise £1800 by selling sweepstake tickets based upon my finishing time.
Anything in addition that you are able to donate here will be greatly appreciated. If you care to leave your contact details I will personally send my sincere thanks.
