1st days ride was very hard with plenty of hills and blistering sun!!!. I now have Scarlet arms lol. Took me 7hrs to complete.

2nd days ride (today) was thankfully cooler and the added bonus of wonderful views (photo's to follow) . Its taken me another 7hrs to complete.

Tomorrow will be a smaller half day ride of 5miles for a rest day!!!!

I'm enjoying myself even with the tiredness and have been collecting donations along the way along.

Update on training schedule

So far the training is going well im currently riding twice a week one long ride and one hill work ride and i've had a weekend in the lake district for some good hard training i did a 4 hr ride on the saturday and then done the whinlatter challenge on the usunday which is a very unforgiving race which i completed in 3 hrs , so far i'm very pleased on how the training is going, its on schedule to how ive planned  , i will be stepping up the training to 3 rides a week from now on to increase my endurence level and in a months time i will test myself with 3-4 days consecutive of riding to judge my level of recovery

10/6/11 Latest update

Thank you for your donations and support , I have stepped up the training now

I am now doing longer rides at the weekends average miles each ride is about 50miles now and the hill rides during the week are upto 20miles each ride 3 times a week and ive tested how my training is going with 3 days continuous hard riding and its feeling good !!!

Thanks Roger
