Roddy Child-Villiers, a British citizen, died on Tuesday, 3rd June, from Sarcoma cancer at his home in Epesses, Switzerland, with his family around him. Aged 50, Roddy was much loved by family and friends, many of whom were at Nestl
é where he was Head of Investor Relations.
As one of his friends said:
"We have lost a great character, and a brave, warm and generous hearted friend who always made one laugh and feel better about life."Roddy is remembered for many things, including his love of life and great sense of humour, even in the most difficult times. He loved his nephews and niece, Freddie, William and Celia, his home in Epesses, iconic sport cars, photography and was a particular fan of the art of Matisse. He was also passionate about Nestl
é.
The family has had several requests about donations:
- Roddy benefited greatly from a large number of blood transfusions and was hugely appreciative of the blood people had donated.
- Roddy became aware of how little research was being done into Sarcomas
and was keen to support charities in this area. Sarcoma UK is one of the
few specialists in Europe.
