Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am trying to collect £10,000 to pay for a full lorry of flour to be delivered into Syria which will be used to make bread to feed 5000 people over the course of a month. This will be an enormous help to those people who are currently having to rummage through rubbish just to survive. However, many people have already died from starvation and the number of displaced families is only increasing to make the situation even tougher.
Excerpt from Human Appeal website:
Flour distribution
6.8 million Syrians are hungry
With crippling restrictions on movement throughout Syria, flour shortages are acute. Farmers have abandoned their wheat crops, bakeries have closed and thousands of people must travel through unsafe territory in search of bread. We plan to regularly distribute flour to internally displaced people (IDPs).
This appeal is specifically for those Syrians that still remain in Syria, so please donate as much as you are able to. Each £2 donated would provide food for a single man, woman or child.
Please make your family, friends and colleagues aware of this appeal so we can reach the target even quicker and have the flour distribution sent out ASAP.
If you are unable to donate money but would like to help then please try to increase awareness of this campaign either by word of mouth or by donating your Facebook/whatsapp/other status updates by promoting this justgiving page.
Please check the GIFTAID option when donating to add an extra 25% to your donation!
Please be aware that JustGiving.com incurs a 5% admin fee which will be taken out of the total, but due to the addition of GiftAid, the 5% will not take from your original donation amount, but please know this when making the intention to donate.
