FOCSA raises funds to improve the lives of disadvantaged children in Colombia. In particular, liaising with hospitals and healthcare practitioners, they support the acquisition of life-saving medical equipment. They support the work of existing settings with the local expertise and intelligence, making sure that donations go to what is needed and not wasted. 

Having a sick child in hospital is one of the most anxious times for any family, and this can be a very helpless experience in resource limited areas. Many times the doctors and nurses will know what needs to be done, and yet they may be unable to provide the care required due to lack of equipment. 

The COVID-19 pandemic has only made the inequalities in access to healthcare deeper and more evident.

With the generous support from  friends all over the world, FOCSA is able to support families and children in Colombia during these difficult times.
