Story
I am taking part in this skydive because I know what it feels like to lose hope and for it to seem like nothing will ever change. I have struggled with my mental health throughout my teenage years, and have experienced some real lows. Thankfully, I am now in a much better place, and so I want to be able to make a difference and for something positive to come out of my experiences. Please donate all you can, it would mean so much to not just me, but to Papyrus and all the many young people that can be helped.
Please note, I am covering the full cost of the skydive myself, so that all your donations go straight to helping young people.
If you would like to get in touch, my email is robynmunday@icloud.com and my instagram is @robynerinm :)
Who are PAPYRUS?
PAPYRUS is the national Charity for the Prevention of Young Suicide. Suicide is the biggest killer of young people under the age of 35 in the UK, in 2018 over 1800 young people took their own lives. PAPYRUS provides confidential support and advice to young people struggling with thoughts of suicide, and anyone worried about a young person through their helpline, HOPELINEUK. Every £5 raised can help pay for a life-saving contact to HOPELINEUK and £165 covers the cost of training someone ASIST, which is a two day course that prepares caregivers to provide suicide first aid interventions.
Your donations really are lifesaving, thank you.
