Story

So I've decided to cycle to Belfast in April for the Microbiology Society 2019 conference, where I'm giving two presentations. And my boyfriend Andy has now decided to join me!

So we'll be cycling the 133 miles (215 km) to Liverpool (leaving Coventry Sunday 7th and arriving Tuesday 9th April) where we'll then get the ferry overnight to Belfast. On Wednesday I'm giving two talks (!!) at the Microbiology Society Conference (after what I'm sure will be a very comfortable nights sleep on the ferry 🙄). We'll then carry on cycling up to the Giants Causeway, going round the coast to get there, and then inland on the way back. So in total this will be about 275 miles (440 km).

I wasn't originally planning to make this a sponsored event, but a few people mentioned it, so I thought that given one of my talks will be about marine plastic biodegradation, it only made sense to send any donations to the Marine Conservation Society.

Any donation is much appreciated!
