Story
Update: I’ve been overwhelmed by the support I have received so far, thank you to everyone who's donated already. With just over a week to go I'm feeling really happy with my training, so I am upping my distance from 68 miles to the epic 83 mile route!
Hi, I’m Rob, one of Larmer Tree Festival’s three directors, and I’ll be cycling a gruelling 83 miles through the beautiful Wiltshire countryside surrounding our festival site to raise money for Julia's House.
I cycle around Cranborne Chase as often as I can when working on the festival, so I’ve had my eye on tackling the Wiltshire Wildcat Sportive for some time. Some of my favourite cycling routes and climbs are in the area.
On 12th March 2016 I’ll be pedaling my hardest in support of this fantastic charity which helps families local to Larmer Tree, in Wiltshire and Dorset. My target is to raise £2,500 to go towards the charity’s brilliant work, which could cover the cost of vital specialist support and equipment. £45 provides one-to-one therapy for a bereaved parent or sibling, £60 pays for two hours of precious respite for an exhausted parent, £120 is enough for a morning at the hospice where a child can play safely, and £600 could provide extra emergency care for a family in crisis. Every donation will make a difference.
Keep up to date on my progress by following Larmer Tree Festival on Facebook and Twitter - and thanks for your support!
