Story
Mark Beaumont's World-in-a-Day is an event within an event in the Doddie Aid January Exercise challenge. It involves 80 individuals or teams from each of the 5 Doddie Aid Districts trying to cycle 240 miles in 24 hrs. I am doing it solo, so will be on my trainer for approximately 12 hours, notching up those miles to help fund MND research. Hopefully we can help Doddie Aid hit that £1m target before 6th Feb.
Doddie's story has touched the rugby world. To fearlessly face down his diagnosis and raise £7 million in 3 years for MND research has been mind blowing. And to have done it with smile never far from his lips, and humour punctuating every call to action, Doddie does inspire. #DoddieAID is a way for us all to do our little bit to help him in his quest to find better treatments for this awful condition, and Doddie being Doddie, we hope it is going to be a lot of fun.
Doddie AID is an Inter-District exercise challenge running through January until the Calcutta Cup KO. Any exercise counts, and your miles can be logged into your personal total on the trac4good app. And it also goes into your District team total. Come the 6th February 2021, we will see which District has logged the most miles.
See www.doddieAID.com for all the details and it is not too late to join in.
