Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I will start this challenge on 30th April and am hoping it will take me around 2 months to complete.
Inspired by Captain Tom Moore and his 100 laps of his garden before his 100th birthday I am embarking on a similar 100 laps. From my house in Burnham-on-Sea it's 6 miles to Brean Down, the Down is a promontory off the coast of Somerset, standing 318 feet high and 1.5 miles out into the Bristol Channel. The 30th April is also Captain Tom's birthday so a fitting day to commence.
Each circuit will be around 13 miles or so for me, so the whole mission will be over 1300 miles in total.
On each circuit I will take a single photograph which will be date and time stamped and uploaded to this page. I will hopefully also link my STRAVA app to here as well, this will ensure I evidence each ride in turn. Some days I may go once, some days twice, before work or after work. I will endeavour to go as often as possible but at least once a day during my 1 hours allowed exercise period during this lock down.
MIND is a fantastic charity and so relevant during these times where so many people are going through such turmoil and worry. This is also very personal to me as my wife was diagnosed with reactionary PTSD around 5 years ago so I know how this affects people and especially the ones you love the most. Also the company I work for in Bristol, Gregor Heating & Renewable Energy have selected Mind as their Charity of the year for all of our business fundraising efforts as well.
