At midday on Friday 4th February 2022, four lads, Terry Rosoman, Fred Rosoman, Rob Pearce and Dave Kirtland, will attempt to ascend and descend the highest peak in the southern United Kingdom, Pen Y Fan, 10 times within 24 hours.

The challenge will see them accumulating an elevation gain of over 14,500ft (28% more elevation than summiting Everest from Everest Base camp) right in the middle of winter with high chances of gale-force winds and temperatures as low as -2°C.

Operation Elevation has two aims. The first is to inspire others to tackle whatever problems they may be facing in life with resilience, grit and fortitude. The second is to raise £1,000 for Mind the mental health charity.

With lockdowns, restrictions, ever-changing rules and the fear of a rapidly spreading virus, people's health and wellbeing have taken a huge hit over the last 2 years. The sad truth is, people suffering from mental illness can find the circumstances surrounding COVID particularly challenging.
