Story
Why I'm Taking the Plunge for a cause close to our hearts?
Hello, friends, family, and all you who've stumbled upon my page,
I'm Rob, and this April to May, I'm embarking on a challenge that's both new territory for me and a deeply personal cause. I'm swimming 30.9km (yes, that's 1,236 lengths of a swimming pool and nearly 20 miles!) over 17 days from 19th April to 5th May.
This swim is for every person I know, and even those I don't, who've been touched by cancer. Cancer doesn't discriminate; it's a battle too many of us are familiar with. That's why I'm raising funds for Cancer Research UK & Marie Curie, two organisations that stand on the front lines in the fight against cancer and in supporting those facing terminal illness.
At this years Swimathon I'll join thousands of swimmers across the UK, all united in a goal to support these incredible charities.
Every stroke I take is a step closer to a future where cancer and with your support, whether through donations, messages of encouragement, or simply sharing my story, means the world to me and to everyone whose life you're helping to change.
Together, let's make waves for a cause that touches us all. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
