Story

In 2019 I have set myself the challenge of completing the three 'London Classics': running the London Marathon on 28th April, cycling Ride London 100 on 4th August and swimming the Serpentine on 21st September. Completing all of these challenges is known as Conquering London!

I enjoy sports in general and am a keen runner, being a member of my local running club. When I enter running events I am often asked which charity I am doing it for. As completing all three of these events within the same year is quite a challenge, I thought I should put my efforts to good use! I am always amazed by the work some of my colleagues do to support the Bright Horizons Foundation for Children, and the support the Foundation itself offers to those that are in need.

Thank you for visiting my Just Giving page; all sponsorship is greatly appreciated and will help a very worthy cause!

About the charity

We create Bright Spaces; enriching play environments for children experiencing crisis and disadvantage. Our Bright Spaces are in domestic refuges, homeless shelters, child protection interview suites, hopitals and prisons. They enable children to have fun, learn and heal from trauma through play.
