Story
Hello yes,
Thankyou for supporting my second attempt to break myself for Macmillan Cancer Support. In 2006 you all helped to raise over £1000 in total, and our target this time round is £750 minimum.
In 2006 I was inspired to run a marathon for the first time by my seemingly indestructible comrade Mr D Singer, who, having beaten cancer himself, then ran the London event. Since then, he has used up another of his nine lives (surviving serious head trauma after being run over, igamusingly while he was out running...) and we are running the Edinburgh event together this year.
Having said that, he will be some way ahead of me, so he can get the bottle of Talisker ready by the time I finish. Last time I managed a respectable but molto moderato 4hrs 12min. This year I'll try to do a poco piu mosso and get in under 4hrs, although training is a little more last minute-ish than last time and my legs appear to be four years older and no wiser.
Please feel free to contact me either here or at my normal email (robinhutt@yahoo.com) or the website (robinhutt.com). If anyone fancies a trip to Edinburgh on the 23rd May to support us or to join us for the aftershow party, please get in touch!
So here's the important bits:
