Vest on a Quest

Asda Foundation Nottingham 10K · 16 June 2019 ·
I'm hoping to raise as much money as possible for the new and ground-breaking University of Nottingham Breast Cancer Research Centre.
My late, wonderful and much-missed wife Dr Sally Pollard who worked at the University as a Lecturer in Genetics was diagnosed with breast cancer almost exactly four years ago and this 10k fundraiser takes place on the second anniversary of her death - so although it will be a very emotional time for me I want to celebrate Sal's life, her passion and her positivity and do some good for everyone else touched by - or working against - this horrible and pernicious disease.
As Nottingham's Official Robin Hood it's a genuine honour not just to be asked to publicise this event but also to both start and take part in it.
Sal was not only my (and Nottingham's) Maid Marian too but also a keen runner so this event is even more important to me, our daughter Scarlett and all of our family and friends - so if you can please join me in supporting the vital and ongoing work done by Sal's friends and colleagues at the new Breast Cancer Research Centre - thank you so much.
And if you hear a lot of laughter on the day - some of it may be Sal watching me try to complete a 10k... :-)
