UPDATE:

10th September 2023

We’ve done it! 🙌  Today was the big day and thankfully we had cooler weather and a sea breeze to see us round the course. The hills were challenging at times and I think we were all grateful to reach the finish line (and food tent!) but we had a great day 😃

A HUGE thanks to all who donated to our team page. Your generosity and words of encouragement & support have meant so much to us all. The event organisers gave ‘The Florentines’ a shout out at the start line to announce that we were the team to raise the most on our fundraising page! Thanks to all of you for making that happen. 

Sorry to have missed Vics on this event due to injury (get better soon Vicsy)  and thanks to Grace for taking part in her place 🤗

Thanks for visiting our fundraising page. 'The Florentines' are a group of keen walkers from Wiltshire who met through a Nordic Walking group run by one of our team. We are also joined by friends, and collectively we are excited to tackle this challenging walk and raise money for a good cause. Two of our team have had personal experiences with cancer and others have had friends or family affected, and as a result, we are hoping to raise funds to go towards Macmillan's excellent cancer support services for those who need it most. Please help us achieve our target and wish us luck on the Mighty Jurassic Hike!
