Hi All!

 

Thank you for visiting my JustGiving Page. Cancer Research has been a charity that has been close to my heart for over 20 years and on 8th July I will be running the London 10K  with 10 other members of the Sweeney Todd Company. Those of you who know me well will know how much I dislike running long distances. However, the same people will also know how competitive I am so when the opportunity came up to compete, sorry RUN with the Sweeney folk I couldn't say no. My training is going well, but I won't pretend I am not in pain from doing it. However, all of us running have known someone who has battled the Big C and some of us have even beaten it ourselves so it seems a small price to pay to raise money for this amazing charity.

On the 8th July I will be running for the women in my life. It is because of charities like Cancer Research that there are so many more options for treatments that were not available when we lost my Grandmother 22 years ago. It is because of these charities that my Aunt is around today, having undergone ground-breaking stem-cell treatment that has only been available to special cases in the last 5 years. Today, we keep fighting as a familyand we will win again!
