Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Andrew and I are racing in the Brompton World Championship on Sunday 4th October. We are undertaking the 13km race on Brompton folding bikes in memory of Andrew's son and my nephew, Adam William Bowman, who died in March this year.
We are raising money for the Evelina Children's Hospital at Guy's and St Thomas' who cared for him so wonderfully during his short life. Having seen the care and attention the staff at Evelina showed Adam, we wanted to support the Hospital in any way we can and hope you will join us.
The race itself is going to be held at Blenheim Palace on Sunday 4th October and comprises two laps around the grounds totalling just over 13km. Whilst this is an officially sanctioned British Cycling event, lycra leggings and spandex tights are definitely forbidden. Instead, the rules of the race call for competitors to be dress in jacket, shirt and tie as is in keeping with your typical commuter.
