Story
Thanks so much for choosing to suppport my 60th Birthday Fund in favour of the The Kianh Foundation.
The Kianh Foundation is a UK charity providing a range of specialist services to disabled and disadvantaged children in Vietnam. For the past 7 years, it has directly supported an orphanage in Hoi An and is now planning for a day centre providing similar services in the area most heavily affected by the war. I have established that all the funds raised by the Foundation here in the UK are transferred to its activities in Vietnam. Click on the link (below left) to see the breadth of its work.
Donating through JustGiving is fast and totally secure, though you will have to go through a simple process to sign up for an account. If you don't want your name displayed for all to see, you have the option of donating anonymously when you come to the final stage of posting your message. Only I will know!
Any donation you make will be forwarded directly to the Kianh Foundation together with any Gift Aid that JustGiving reclaims on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.
And if you are (un?)fortunate enough to be paying higher rate tax, you can claim the difference between the higher and basic rates of tax on the total (gross) value of your donation. Thus, if you donate £10, this fund will receive around £12 and you can claim back £2.50 from the Revenue through your Self Assessment tax return. Your JustGiving account helps you claim your tax relief by keeping an accurate record of your donations. Simply print out a copy of your donation history and attach it to your tax return.
Rest assured that your details are totally safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
