Story

I moved in with Dad in 2020 because his online shopping was going haywire. In 2021 he was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. We cook good food, do lots of TV quizzing, go for at least one walk a day, do jigsaws very slowly and play with our Hornby 00 scale model railway. My two rescue hounds, Harry and Harvey get along fine with his dog Georgie who is a miniature long haired dachshund.

Note on Ride London Official Athletic Apparel.

Obviously I couldn’t take part in a serious sporting event like Ride London Essex 100 in my usual suit.

I need proper athletic apparel.

My turbo-charged tangerine dream two piece is 0% Elastane, but rest assured that my braces are fully elasticated.

About Action for Carers

There are 115,000 unpaid carers in Surrey looking after someone who couldn't manage without them. Caring can be extremely isolating and can take its toll - it can affect all aspects of life.

But we're here to support by phone, through face-to-face meetings, support groups and workshops. We help with benefits advice, advocacy, give practical help and provide a wealth of information and free events.

"I had been signposted to so many dead ends, Action for Carers and Surrey Young Carers have been the first to offer real help and understanding."
