Reindeers jamboree fund jump · 6 July 2011

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

We were unable to jump on 6th July due to wind gusts of 30mph plus, you can only jump at 23mph and less. We are aiming to try again on the 17th August. Please continue in your support.

The money is to be spent on equipment and one third will be used to make the Essex Jamboree a platform to advertise Reindeer to many local youngsters. We have been with many youngsters over the years and hopefully many youngster will continue in this unit. Please support us in helping them

Myself, two previous Reindeer Scouts and my niece are tandem parachute jumping in aid of their funds. Im petrified of heights so for me this will be extremely scary.  I have happily been involved in leadership for 18 years and I leave in 12 months, passing the unit to a great group of new leaders. I finish at the Essex Jamboree and as a group of friends we aim to make this a memory for everyone to last a lifetime. In the next 12 months the youngsters will train hard in many bits of scouting and we will put this to use.

Over the years I have met some fantastic youngsters, many of whom have gone on to uni  or college and beyond> We need funds to buy equipment to enhance their skills, everything from pioneering poles to potato scrappers. The unit has had everything from drug addicts to doctors and continues with some superb attitudes. I need your help> I need your help to say farewell in a big way, in a way that they can build on their strengths and weaknesses. Being a leader is voluntary but I have earned lots of skills and memories for me to enjoy for the rest of my life

Thank you from me and all of the youngsters
