Over 150,000 of us in the UK have MS. It’s unpredictable and different for everyone. But it doesn’t have to be this way. We’re the MS Society. We understand what life’s like with MS. We're here for you through the highs, lows and everything in between. Together, we are strong enough to stop MS.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On Sunday 15th July 2012 I will once again be taking part in the world record drumming attempt 'Stick It To MS', at EventCity in Manchester. In 2009 we broke the Guiness World Record for the 'Largest Full Drum Kit Ensemble', with 582 drumming to the same beat at the same time. This year, with over 800 drummers registered, the event is going to be even bigger and better and we can raise even MORE for the MS Society!

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a condition of the central nervous system. In MS, the coating around nerve fibres (called myelin) is damaged, causing a range of symptoms. Around 100,000 people in the UK have MS. It's normally diagnosed in people between the ages of 20 and 40, and affects almost twice as many women as men.

Once diagnosed, MS stays with you for life, but treatments and specialists can help you to manage the symptoms.
