Story

Hello everybody and thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

For the next two years from February 2010 I will be working for VSO in Zambia.  I am going to be part of the District AIDS Taskforce based in a smallish town called Mazabuka which is around two hours south west of the capital, Lusaka.  I will be working closely with the local community and other organisations in Mazabuka to develop monitoring and evaluation systems relating to HIV/AIDS projects so that there is better information available on the local conditions and on how support to people in the area can be improved.  The HIV prevalence rate in the district is around 20%.  Any donations you can make will be used well by VSO, and by email and a blog I plan to provide updates on the work, life in Zambia and my travels.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure.  It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Voluntary Service Overseas gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

Thanks for your support and please sponsor me now!
