Fundraising for Macmillan Cancer Support
Well you’ve taken the first step by visiting my justgiving page, now all you need to do is make the difficult decision as to how much you are going to donate!
As you are undoubtedly aware my partner Marion passed away from bowel cancer earlier this year, she was a far braver person than I as she endured chemotherapy and radiotherapy for over a year. Throughout this difficult time she was supported by Macmillan’s staff, both at home and while undergoing her treatment in hospital. In the later stages of her illness Marion made the decision to spend her last moments at home with her family rather than going into hospice care, it was during this time that the Macmillan staff came to the fore with the support and care they provided both Marion and our family. They were always stretched but never hurried and made every effort to make you feel that you were their only patient. It is with your help that we can ensure other people receive the same high level of care and compassion at such a challenging time in their lives.
In October I will be taking part in the Great South Run to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support so they can continue to provide such a vital service to those affected by Cancer.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now.
