Story
Sunday 6th July will see me attempt to complete Ironman Germany in Frankfurt. This long distance triathlon comprises a 2.4 mile lake swim, followed by a 112 mile cycle and is finished off with a full marathon run.
You can follow my progress on the day by visiting the following website - http://www.ironman.com/ Timings will be updated live as I complete the swim, bike etc and at various other checkpoints.
Whilst I anticipate experiencing a certain level of satisfaction at (hopefully) achieving this feat I really believe this will pale into insignificance compared to the sheer delight being able to ride provides on each and every visit to the people supported by the Riding for the Disabled Association.
Barclays have generously matched donations to £750. Whilst I have now reached this target please do still dig deep both to support this worthwhile charity that creates such special moments for those it helps and to provide me with the added incentive to push on when the going gets tough.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Riding for the Disabled Association will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.So please sponsor me now!
Many thanks for your support.
