I'm proud to serve as a member of the Cancer Hope Network Board of Trustees. Its an organization dedicated to ensuring that no one faces cancer alone. Our social-worker led nonprofit trains cancer survivors and caregivers as Support Volunteers and then connects them with cancer patients and caregivers to pro-vide 1-1 peer support. Our services are always free and always confidential. We offer support at all stages of a cancer journey - from diagnosis, through treatment and into survivorship. 

As a prostate cancer survivor myself, I was so grateful to the volunteers I spoke with, and the positive spirit they helped me access in kicking this dreadful disease. 

This year, my fellow trustees are adding a bit of fun to our end- of- year fundraising efforts by launching On Board with Hope. Its a lighthearted fundraising competition to support CHNs critical mission. I've set my personal fundraising goal of raising $3,000 ($100/day for the month of December), and I hope you'll join me in making cancer a little less scary and a lot more hopeful for cancer patients, caregivers, and their loved ones.
