Fundraising for Children's Hospice South West
Story
In November 2022 I’m going to grow a moustache and side burns! 🙈
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page, supporting Children’s Hospice South West. I’m raising money for them in aid of Oliver, who had the most wonderful care at Little Harbour. The facilities, services and team there were faultless as they supported Oliver and his family through childhood cancer and his end of life care.
Most of their funds come through charitable donations and it’s my pleasure to be able to do something to support them!
I’ve never wanted facial hair, in fact I really dislike the thought of it… so here we go to feeling uncomfortable but all in a great cause!
A little about Oliver, my darling Godson.
Oliver had MDS, meaning his bone marrow didn’t work properly and had two bone marrow transplants. Treatment including chemotherapy started in January 2017 and continued for over 2 years. In May 2019 it was confirmed the cancer had returned, more aggressively and options for treatment had come to an end. On November 2nd of that year Oliver spent his final days, with his family by his side, at Little Harbour. Throughout he was courageous, steadfast, inspiring and the beautiful boy he always was! I’m so proud of him. That last cuddle with him will be with me always.
His last days were the way they were because of Children’s Hospice South West. (CHSW)
