Story

I am running the Paris Marathon 2017 in memory of my uncle Michael Penman who died from a Brain Tumour on 2nd October 2016.

When I entered the Marathon in early 2016 Michael was fit and well, then suddenly, completely out of the blue he fell ill and died from a brain tumour within a few weeks.  I would like to raise money for Brain Tumour Research to remember my uncle.

My place in the Marathon is not funded by charity so every penny will go to Brain Tumour Research and I don't have to reach any particular target.   All donations are very welcome and will hopefully spur me on over the 26.2 miles .............

Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer. Just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this disease. We are a leading voice calling for support and action for research into what is called the last battleground against cancer.
