We pioneer life-saving cancer research to help us beat cancer

Story

On the 9th April I’ll be fighting in aid of Cancer Research UK which will be at the Bonus Arena in Hull in front of what is expected to be a sell out crowd. This involves 8 weeks of training beforehand starting from February right up until the fight. I’ve chosen to do this for multiple reasons, most importantly because of the impact that cancer has had on my life, losing my nan to bowel cancer and more recently my grandad to prostate cancer not to mention many other close family and friends I’ve witnessed battle cancer of which some still are. I also chose to do this as a challenge to myself as I’ve never done any sort of boxing before whatsoever, alongside that my lifestyle involves going out a lot and indulging in a few drinks at football so up until now I’ve not lived the healthiest of lives and I’m hoping over the next 8 weeks to challenge that by going sober and eating more nutritiously alongside training. All money raised goes towards Cancer Research UK and any donations are much appreciated.
