Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Hi, I am Robert Neilson from Kirkintilloch.
I am in the process of loosing some of the weight that has crept onto my waistline over the years.
I lost a friend who was in our motorcycle club,to breast cancer last year. Iris was only in her mid forties.
My brother had bowel cancer last year and has madde a full recovery, thanks to the nurses and Doctors at Stirling and Falkirk Royal Hospitals.
Just recently my Father has been diagnosed with throat cancer, "which is treatable" with Radio therapy, it will be a long haul for him at 76yrs of age, but he will win this battle.
I decided to loose some weight and one of the ladies over at the Breast Way Round forum suggested I do this and raise much needed funds for the Mcmillan trust at the same time. Thanks Louise xx.
The ladies have all encouraged, and are willing to help me keep to my strict regime , I hope.
So here we are, Iam 17st 12lbs at my first weigh in on Monday the 30th of August 2009
I hope to loose enough and get down to 16st safely and healthly, I`ve no time limit as yet, I`ll just take it easy and see how I go.
I am being sponsered by family and friends, so much per pound that I loose.
I hope to raise £300 plus for the charity, so every little helps.
Thank you for taking the time to look at my page
Regards
Robert
