My friend Tom and I are cycling from Land's End to John O' Groats in late May and early June, raising money for Brighter Futures. 

Brighter Futures is entirely funded by donations. It is raising the standard of health care in our area by providing money for extra equipment, services and staff - all of which wouldn't be possible under current NHS funding. A great cause from which we could all benefit at some point during our lives.

Tom and I have planned a route which avoids major roads and takes us through some of the most scenic areas of Britain. This means it will be very hilly, slightly meandering, and without doubt very challenging. We haven't had the most extensive training regime so we will probably be fairly tired before too long.

We are going unsupported, taking all of our kit with us on the backs of our bikes and staying in pubs, hostels and B&Bs. We will try to post a few updates on the way, so look out for photos of (hopefully) glorious sunny countryside and a few local ales.
