Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
We are taking on this next challenge, to raise awareness
and funds for research into MND, our daughter Lucy has been living with MND since her diagnosis in November 2013, and I truly hope and believe that a cure and understanding of this disease can be found with in her life time, to help Lucy and all other people with this awful condition.
I know that this is a challenge that Lucy would love to do herself but because of her disability and being in a wheelchair she is unable too, so Mum and Dad are doing it for her.
There are many reason's for wanting to take on this challenge, but since the latest research at the Euan MacDonald centre, Edinburgh University of a possible break through, to not only stopping motor neurone disease but actually reversing the damage done to the neurone's has made us more determined to raise as much needed funds and awareness so the research work can continue and get to clinical trials with MND sufferers.
We have always had hope in our hearts that a cure could be found in time to save our daughter Lucy, this would be beyond our wildest dreams, it would also mean we wouldn't have to watch Lucy go through the final stages of the disease that would take her life. We really can't express what this would mean to our family especially now, as Lucy herself a mother to a beautiful little boy Logan-James and for her to full fill her role as a mother to watch, support and give him the love and guidance he will need as he grows is all the more reason to try and beat this horrible and cruel disease.
To raise funds for the research and support into MND to continue would not only benefit our family but all the families around the world who are suffering with this condition now, and for the future victims of MND who already have it but haven't been diagnosed and for the ones who will get it in years to come.
So please help to support this vital and worthy charity, Thank you Xxx
